The Matra team dominated the 1974 World Championship for Makes winning 9 of the 10 events. Spa was one of the circuits where spectators had free reign. It was possible to wlk into the paddock and onto the pit lane before practice.

French Endurance captures one of the two Matra MS670s in the paddock prior to the start of practice. A couple of team mechanics watch over the cars, but other than them very few spectators
