McLaren Can Am

The SCCA Can Am series during the late ‘60s and early ‘70s was dominated by the McLaren team to extent that the series was nicked named the Bruce and Denny show after the two drivers. McLaren’s dominance began in 1967 with the Chevrolet small-block powered M6A cars. When the M8 series was introduced, the engines were updated to the large-block Chevrolet engines, growing from 7 to 8.4-liters by 1972.

McLaren Can Am is an interesting portrait of the massive intake stacks that feed the large-block Chevrolet engines.
